El riesgo de transmisión de COVID-19 en un entorno universitario: las percepciones de los estudiantes

Antecedentes: La pandemia de COVID-19 ocurrida en varias partes del mundo ha provocado cambios en el orden de vida. El propósito de este estudio es examinar las percepciones de los estudiantes con respecto a la posible transmisión del COVID-19 en un entorno universitario. Métodos: Este estudio se basa en una encuesta en línea con diseño transversal. La población de este estudio fueron todos los estudiantes domiciliados en Medan, provincia de Sumatra del Norte, Indonesia. A continuación, la muestra de encuestados se estratificó según la edad, el sexo y el tipo de universidad. La investigación empleó un análisis multivariante (de regresión logística múltiple). Resultados: Las estudiantes se inclinan más a creer que los casos de COVID-19 pueden propagarse a través de la actividad (Valor P; 0.044 (< 0.05), AOR; 0.916, IC 95%: 0.451-1.860). La mayoría de los encuestados apoyaron con entusiasmo el establecimiento de protocolos sanitarios en el campus. En comparación con los estudiantes que confían en la implantación de protocolos sanitarios, los que no están seguros de su cumplimiento pueden estar tres veces menos dispuestos a reiniciar actividades en la universidad.
