Victor W. Sidel, médico, por muchos años fue miembro de la Escuela de Medicina Albert Einstein y del Centro Médico Montefiore, Nuevo York, falleció el 30 de enero de 2018, tenía 86 años. El Dr. Sidel tuvo una doble adscripción, tanto en la Escuela de Medicina Familiar y Social, como en Epidemiología y Salud Poblacional. Además, fue parte del Consejo Editorial de esta Revista Electrónica Bilingüe Social Medicine / Medicina Social. Su esposa Ruth había fallecido previamente, el 12 de mayo de 2016.
